i like making boxed cushions (with a banding around the edge) as throw pillows. They look neater and more taylored than traditional flat contructed pillows.

I am a window covering maven and interior design consultant with 20 years experience in feature films and homes.
Window coverings are difficult. We want them to be beautiful and to function well. Yet every room and each person has different requirements: one needs to have privacy from the neighbors, another to expose a bay view, while another needs to do both. Light control, view control, temperature control, ease of use and beauty are all factors to consider when choosing a curtain, shade, or blind. It’s a lot to balance. No wonder we end up tacking up a sheet.

I have developed a collection of window coverings that reflects and enhances the architecture and lifestyle of the bay area. My designs are informed by arts and crafts, Japanese and mid century modern design, with some romance on the side. I have twenty years of experience working with homes and feature films. Engaging a team of quality craftspeople and access to the design center showrooms and many wholesale products, I love to work with natural fibers, vintage and artisan patterns, and keeping it simple.
I can work with you in your home, bringing fabric samples, measuring and working with you to interpret your needs, both functional and esthetic. Then I can follow through until it all goes up... and the sheets come down.
